1. Scope

These Terms of Service apply to the use of the app "HellerIO" (hereinafter "App") and the associated website hellerio.de.

2. Service Description

HellerIO is a financial planning app that helps users plan their monthly income and expenses and maintain an overview. The app is not a budget tracker or banking app. It provides no bank connection and no transaction recording.

3. Free and Paid Use

The basic features of the app are permanently free to use. Extended features can be unlocked in two tiers: Lite via a one-time purchase (all extended features except the monthly quota for photo and voice entries and Cloud Sync) or Premium via a monthly subscription, annual subscription, or one-time purchase (all features). The scope of each tier is described in the store listing and on this website.

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed through the respective platform stores (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, on Windows the Microsoft Store). The terms and conditions of the respective provider also apply.

Monthly and annual subscriptions may come with a free trial. Its length is shown in the store before you subscribe. Unless you cancel in time before the trial ends (on the Apple App Store, at least 24 hours before it ends), the subscription automatically converts into a paid subscription. The first payment is due when the trial ends. Whether and how often you can use a trial depends on the rules of the store. One-time purchases (Lite and Premium) have no trial.

4. Subscription Cancellation

Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through the respective platform store or through account settings (on Windows in your Microsoft account at account.microsoft.com/services). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. After cancellation, Premium features remain available until the end of the paid period. A previously purchased Lite remains available afterwards.

5. Data Storage

All financial data is stored exclusively on the user's device, unless the optional Cloud Sync is activated. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Liability

HellerIO is solely for personal financial planning and does not constitute financial advice. We accept no liability for financial decisions made based on the app's calculations.

We accept no liability for data loss (e.g., when changing devices without a backup). We recommend regular data backups using the integrated backup function.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service. Significant changes will be communicated in the app and on the website. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Applicable Law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. The place of jurisdiction is, to the extent permitted by law, the registered office of the provider.
